This year has not been as bad as it could have been :) But you want to make sure that you take good care of your skin and your hair. Make sure to keep your skin moisturized! Sure, this may be a no-brainer to many, but are you using your moisturizer correctly? The best way to get the most out of moisturizer is to apply while the skin is still damp. When applying after bathing, make sure you pat dry with your towel so as to leave a layer of moisture (water) on your skin before putting on the moisturizer of choice. That way you "trap" the moisture in your skin. Whether you choose moisturizing lotion, shea butter, body oils-whatever's your fav, just make sure that your skin in hydrated and lubricated so that it can be the best that it can be. And let us not forget about our hair (remember,skin and hair are composed of the same molecules)! The same rules apply. If you wear your hair relaxed or natural (like I do), don't forget how important it is to keep your hair moisturized. Keeping your hair moisturized will help it from becoming dry, brittle and eventually breaking off!
